Hi! I'm Lydia,
the girl behind the lens.

I first picked up a camera in middle school, but I don’t think I was ever really obsessed with it in the way people talk about obsessions. It always felt less like a hobby and more like an extension of myself.

My late father was a film photographer in the ’80s, and he talked about shooting weddings like they were his glory days. When he would talk about photography, he didn't start with his accomplishments in this business. He started with the way people reacted to their photos. He would beam telling me about clients who felt beautiful, confident, and seen because of something he created. I always saw this as his gift. Even with photography out of the picture, he had an innate ability to make people feel good about themselves. Like he had somehow figured out how to bottle up confidence and hand it back to them. That was always magic to me.

For a long time, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. After he passed, I took an intro to photography class with a professor who was equal parts wildly inspiring and deeply terrifying in the way only the best teachers can be. And something in me woke up.

I have been consumed by photography and everything it has to offer for 3 years now. It  changed who I am, how I view the world, how I see myself, what I see in my dreams, how I introduce myself to strangers, and the list goes on. It has completely transformed me in ways I never could have imagined.

After earning my bachelor’s degree in Communication from Augusta University, I decided to stay one more year to complete my Masters in Business Administration. From the moment I picked up a camera again, I knew I couldn't just take photos. I had to build my career and business around it.

I love every single aspect of running this business. Meeting strangers who somehow become friends. Seeing new places. Falling in love with the simplicity of my hometown. Noticing the light flowing through the trees. Watching people become more comfortable in front of the camera and in their skin. Getting to hand someone a gallery and say, “See? This is how beautiful you looked the whole time.”

The best feeling in the world is when someone tells me they have never felt that pretty before. That always feels impossible to believe, because I usually saw it the second they stepped in front of my camera.

But that’s why I do this.

Photography is my passion, and I’m so grateful you found your way here.
